DATES:

~12/12/21 (Wayzata - Pre-k-6th grades) 

~1/23/22 (The Brawl – St. Michael HS – Pre-k-6th  grades)

~3/17/22 – 3/18/22 (MNUSA Team State Tournament – Pre-k-6 grades)  Thursday/Friday during AH Spring Break.  Medal rounds are Friday from 3pm-5pm (1-6th).  Thurs weigh-ins from 7-8am as a team – wrestle from 9am-3pm.  This would require hotel stay from Wed-Friday in Rochester, MN. 

Individual State begins on 3/18-3/20 – all the info can be found at www.mnusawrestling.org.  We will book a block of rooms in Rochester.  Competition is at the Mayo Civic Center for Team and Individual and all participates must have a USA Wrestle Card to compete at both and will likely have gotten one earlier in the season.

*Wrestle-offs will be done at least 2 weeks before each event and posted on the board in the wrestling room – sign up for appropriate weight*

WEIGHTS:
45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 84, 88, 93, 102, 115, 130, Hwt (max 215) – with up to 5 or 6 alternates depending on tourney.  Most allow .9 weight allowance except MNUSA State – no allowance.  This means if you weigh 68 – you wrestle at 70 OR if you are 70 on the dot – you can not go above 70.9.  Team members and families are responsible for staying at the weight they were chosen for at wrestle-offs. 

UNIFORMS:
Blaine supplies a singlet, jacket, and shorts – all need to be washed and turned back in after a tournament (usually the next practice) to either Amy Kuehl, Molly Piersak, or Kristin Wegleitner.

*Coaches determine who will be on the team.  Alternates are just as important as they may need to step in if a team member gets sick, injured, etc.  Most team events allow exhibition matches so Alternates will get matches. 

**USA Cards can be purchased at www.usawmembership.com.  Create an account and enter your athlete’s information.  The Card is good from August to August for $55.00.  There is an option to print off the card – you will want to have a few to put in their bag, wallet, etc.  This is presented at all USA Wrestling events in MN and around the US.
