Dusty Iverson

Head Coach - Youth

Coach Dusty is a lifelong wrestler and coach who brings a deep passion for the sport and a strong commitment to developing athletes at every level. His experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm make him a valuable leader within the program.

A graduate of Anoka High School, Coach Dusty recorded 137 career wins and earned two state titles in 2005 and 2006. He finished his senior season undefeated with a record of 51-0. He also placed sixth at state in 2004, was a three-time Minnesota Christmas Tournament placer including the 2005 champion. He earned High School All American honors in 2006. Helping Anoka achieve a top 20 national ranking remains one of his proudest accomplishments.

Coach Dusty began his college career at Iowa Central, but an early injury ended his time on the mat. That experience taught him valuable lessons in perseverance and resilience, which now define his coaching philosophy. Despite not qualifying for state as a youth wrestler, his journey showed him that growth comes from consistent effort and supporting others along the way.

For more than ten years, Coach Dusty has coached youth wrestling with a philosophy centered on EFFORT and ATTITUDE. As a Certified Physical Trainer, he combines technical instruction with conditioning and confidence-building to help athletes reach their full potential. He believes lasting success is achieved through consistency, resilience, and focusing on what can be controlled both on and off the mat.

Haythem Khalil

Assistant Coach - Youth

Coach Haythem comes from a proud family of wrestlers and has carried that passion for the sport throughout his life. He wrestled for Spring Lake Park High School, where he earned over 100 career wins, became a 2x Section Champion, and was named All-Conference twice. Beyond the high school folkstyle wrestling season, Haythem proved himself on the state stage as a 4x State Freestyle place winner and a three-time State Greco place winner.

After graduating from Augsburg College with a degree in International Business, Haythem continued to challenge himself as an athlete by competing in Mixed Martial Arts. His competitive drive and love for the sport naturally led him into coaching, where he has dedicated many years to developing wrestlers within the Blaine program.

In addition to his work at Blaine, Coach Haythem serves as the Vice President of MN/USA Wrestling and has coached several elite teams, including the Heartland Nationals Duals Team. He coached the 2025 Elementary National Freestyle and Greco Dual Championship teams.  Haythem coached the U14 Girls Minnesota Storm team that took 5th at the National Duals.
